Services We Provide
Quality Medical Care For Your Workplace

Work-Related Injury Prevention and Treatment
As specialists in injury identification, treatment and management we are able to marry our extensive clinical and rehabilitation experience to provide an injury management consulting service. Utilising our best practice knowledge and technical understanding of occupational injuries, our professional consultants are able to design and implement robust early claim and rehabilitation management strategies to ensure you and your employee benefit.
We use both physiotherapists to help prevent and treat physical injuries or challenges, and nurses for mental well-being and counselling. We want employees and employers to feel secure in the knowledge that our staff are medically trained and will put your team at the center of our care.

Fitness to work
We believe in preventing problems before they occur, which is why we ensure your employees are both mentally and physically fit for their specific roles and duties. This can be done pre-hire or during employment, through general fitness for work assessments. This protects our clients and their employees by minimising risk and ensuring compliance.

Absence management
There is significant evidence to show that work is good for health and that long periods out of work is detrimental. Occupational Health Solutions can help employees avoid long-term absence, by identifying problems early and offering advice and support. When an employee is on long-term sick leave, we step in quickly and work with our clients to facilitate their rehabilitation and return to work. By ensuring that we have an excellent understanding of our client’s business, we focus on ensuring that client, HR and Line Managers benefit from good quality, evidence based, practical advice, that helps to ensure a safe, productive and sustained return to work.

Job Task Analysis
Most organisations have documented position descriptions, including Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI) relating to employee’s performance and their code of conduct. The elementary requirements of jobs are not the same as job descriptions.
Sometimes employers and employees alike do not fully comprehend the key demands of a job, including the physical, psychological, cognitive, behavioural and environmental components of that job. As such, certain situations like recruiting the right candidate or planning the safe return to work of an injured employee can become a daunting task if the inherent requirements of a person’s role are not clearly outlined. Having a comprehensive Job Task Analysis and Job dictionary can help to mitigate these risks.

Ergonomics
Poor ergonomic work practices or poorly designed workstations can play a significant role in the development of many preventable musculoskeletal disorders including neck and back pain, shoulder and arm pain, headaches and repetitive injury strains. We can help by providing:
· Ergonomic Workstation Assessments
· Virtual Ergonomic Assessments (remote, mobile, hybrid, in-office)
· Individual Ergonomic Assessments
· Sit to Stand Workstation Training and Assessments
· Ergonomic Training for the Office
· Ergonomic Workshops
With our 1:1 ergonomic assessments you will always get a person not a tick box exercise, and so we can ensure to answer any questions and give individualised advice. All our ergonomists are medically trained to make sure we understand and improve discomfort for those who use our services.

Return To Work Plans
Do you get a fit/sick note saying a return to work on "amended duties"? What does this mean? A personalised return to work plan is proven to assist with returning employees to work, faster and with a greater success rate. Our detailed reports remove the guess work for management teams and allows them to make informed decisions.
We mainly use nurses and physios to provide these services for a variety of reasons including; comprehensive reports with SMART goals that are easy to follow for employer and employee, to ensure as much as we can that the same clinician also provides your rehab (be it physical or mental) and is with you throughout your journey back to work, but also as this reduces costs for the employer to be able to provide a holistic service putting the employee first and not hurting the bottom line.

Training and Education
At Occupational Health Solutions we work closely with our clients to train and empower managers to help them understand the role of Occupational Health and how they can best use it to improve employee wellbeing and legal compliance, as well as helping to reduce the impact of sickness absence. We also provide employees with a range of educational tools and practical advice on how to be more health-aware, so encouraging them to take responsibility for their own health.
We typically run 12-month programs for businesses but can do cstom one off training if required. You can pick the topic and medium for delivery or we can give you a menu of holistic ideas from a variety of qualified staff here at OHS. Anything from dieticians and physical wellbeing, mental health, menppause at work, men's health to how to encourage movement at work and incorporating dance parties into your more serious meetings.

Physiotherapy
Our working landscape has changed and so has the way that we access healthcare systems. As we move into uncharted territory and as employers are challenged to address COVID-19 issues within their workforce, it’s important to remember to also remain vigilant to the way employers can keep workforces healthy.
Despite the pandemic risk facing businesses, every day employees are still suffering from preventable workplace injuries. Current research still suggests that early intervention treatment is the single most effective way to mitigate an acute injury. It is paramount to ensure that these injuries, aches, and niggles continue to be minimised in a timely manner.
